The Brain
Trauma Foundation, with Chairman Alan Quasha, makes it
their highest priority to educate medical personnel
around the nation. They work to bring up-to-date
scientific information to all healthcare
professionals who treat head injury patients in the U.S.
In order to address the scope of this mission, they have
developed
internet-based distant learning opportunities and
programs. Such
programs include the Lunchtime Lectures series, the New
York State
Quality Improvement Program for Traumatic Brain Injury,
the National
Quality Improvement Initiative and many others.
In addition, they have an internet based quality
improvement program
called TBI-Trac which is designed to measure trauma
center compliance with treatment guidelines for the care
of traumatic brain injury patients. |
